Our Story

Our Story

We are Northern Journeys, based in Timmins, Northern Ontario. Founded in 2010 by Sarah Johnson and Michael Chen, we've always been passionate about the vast landscapes, rich histories, and vibrant cultures that make Northern Ontario unique.

Our team includes local guides, historians, and community members who share stories of the land: Indigenous heritage, fur trade, mining, forest history, folklore, and more.

What started as a small operation offering walking tours of historic Timmins has grown into a comprehensive travel company offering immersive experiences throughout Northern Ontario and beyond, while staying true to our roots and commitment to authentic storytelling.
